About Me
I became a therapist after feeling a constant pull toward the mental health field during my first career in philanthropy. I decided to go back to school to become a mental health clinician, and I have never felt more fulfilled with a greater sense of belonging. Having benefited myself from years of therapy since adolescence, I felt compelled to teach the skills that transformed my life to others who are struggling. I identify as a biracial, cisgender female, and I was born and raised in the Bay Area. I am passionate about mindfulness and wellness practices, such as hiking, journaling, and laughing a ton. On weekends, you can find me soaking up quality time with my partner and three pups and watching the latest stand-up comedy special on Netflix.
My clinical approach pulls from multiple theories with a leaning toward cognitive behavioral therapy and humanistic approaches. I believe that clients are the experts on their own lives and experiences, and I see myself as a partner in their healing process and journey. I am passionate about working with children, adolescents, families, and young adults of all cultural backgrounds who are struggling with phase of life transitions, anxiety, depression, body image, executive functioning, self-esteem, and family communication issues. My style is warm, empathic, relaxed, and deeply authentic.
